"Fantastic course, fantastic professor, but you have to be willing to engage with dense theory. I took this as a first-year and felt a little stupid sometimes, but I grew greatly by the end. The readings Nguyen selects are absolutely fascinating, and she is great at clearing up concepts and lecturing. If you're interested in social/environmental justice, anthropology, Indigenous rights, decolonization, ecology, climate crises, or just thinking outside the box about the world, take this. It changes how you think. Nguyen also takes you on a few great field trips."
