"Have to cut Professor Wein some slack because it was her first semester teaching here, but she had limited knowledge of data structures and often couldn't offer support while teaching certain topics. Overall extremely nice and respectful teacher who wanted us to succeed, exams were fair. "

"This was Prof Kryven's first course, and it showed. The coursework itself wasn't enormously difficult, but lectures were useless at best and confusing at worst. Slides were overwhelmed with theoretical jargon and mathematical symbols, so they didn't help with reviewing the material. Kryven was most helpful in a small review session before a quiz, but other times in class or during office hours, he often seemed like he was confused by you being confused. Kryven's way of teaching was apparently different from previous years, so sometimes the TAs would also seemed confused on what we were supposed to be learning. However, if you're familiar with computer science and data structures, you teach yourself the material through YouTube videos and online articles, and you treat lectures like a review session (or you're a math major), you should be able to get through this class just fine. Assignments and exams are straightforward and not very difficult."
