"Discussions were alright, but they did drag at times, usually because there were so many students. Note that this isn't really that much of an analytic course: you're taking it to experience literature, to the point where Sanborn occasionally took us on walks on the rail trail since that was thematic with the course title. The main thing that stands out, though, are the readings (which are also all over the place: Hurston, Ishiguro, Han Kang, all in the same semester, just to name a few), even if I still don't get how some of them fit the course theme --- I discovered some of my favorite authors from the readings in this course.
