"This is *THE* LJST class. It sold the major for me and it'll convince anyone into the major if you're into theory and the intellectual challenge. Sitze probes your brain in new ways and the critical thinking and argumentative writing that you learn in that class is invaluable. It was a pleasure to read, stay up late writing the Moodle posts before each discussion, and wrack my brain for weeks writing every essay. I miss the rigor of this course. He's a busy man and hard to contact, so book all office hours in advance (I lined them up with when the papers were due), but his office hours are so worth. He lets you lead the meetings and you will absolutely learn something and come out of that class a better reader and writer. The class encourages original thought and true discussion (no attendance taken and participation isn't about talking in class). 100% recommend to anyone, even non-majors."
