"This was probably the worst course I have taken at Amherst. His lectures were long, rambling, and barely related to the homework and exam content. The textbook also did not match the homework and the course was taught so differently from other number theory courses that self-teaching was nearly impossible. Because of this, the homework took ridiculously long, and to top it all off, he cancelled office hours regularly. HW grades were only imputted once before finals, so you had no clue where you stood in the class. "
