Homework (hours/week): 4 hrs or so
Essays: 0
Exams: 3, he "curves" (scales generously) the final grades

"He is the best: he is hilarious (a very quirky sense of humor...), generous with grading (one time we all did badly on an exam and he just told us we can redo a problem for credit), approachable (office hours + intuition-building + principled), an excellent lecturer (iPad + legible hand writing), not even that awkward (he is after all, a physicist), and most importantly, he is so very very very kind (probably comparable only to David Hansen of the chem department). Man, I hope he has a good day. The whole physics department is awesome, but there is one GOAT. Clearly, it is he: DSH. Just the best. You should take a class with him no matter what... He is so smart and awesome... A great guy overall... I've nothing but praises to sing. Cerave (c'est la vie)"
