"It took me a minute to get into the swing of things, but the course's lively discussions and the weekly check ins made us all feel connected together as a class. There were running jokes, and coming to class was fun after the ice was broken the first few weeks. Professor Lohse has a great deal of knowledge on the subject and always challenges your ideas to ensure you can sufficiently defend your claims. He gives brief, but effective comments on the weekly reading notes/mini-essays. "

"It got a little bit slow at times, especially in the second semester, but generally I enjoyed the lively classroom discourse, and the weekly check-ins made us all feel connected as a class. As peers. As fellow revolutionaries. "
