"This is a course on how to refine your writing, not on how to write; if you are looking to learn how to write a story, I'd go elsewhere, but if you want to get to know your writing practice better, this is the perfect course. Extremely experienced writers who've already done other workshop courses may not get as much out of it as people slightly newer to the craft, but either way Thirii is a fantastic professor and you'll be very glad you took a class with her. You'll write and workshop two stories (one <10 pages and one <20 pages). "

"This is a very good class for anyone who is serious about writing fiction, but there is a lot of reading and writing that is expected, and the grading can be harsh. It's great if you really want to refine your craft as a writer; it's not a good class if you want an easy A."
