"Lectures were not mandatory and honestly not very helpful really. You could answer the essay questions and midterm questions by just doing the readings, which most people barely did in the first place and did well, and looking at the primary sources assigned. The readings were very interesting but this course was a slog and while I gained knowledge on the classical world and their religion I could have gained the same knowledge by doing my own research."

"Professor Sinos is clearly knowledgeable about the topic. However, its a huge class and very few students are engaged. It's easy to skip, readings are so irrelevant to lectures, and the exams are much more specific than seems reasonable. Study guides are absolutely useless and leave you unprepared"

"The information is super interesting and I highly recommend for anyone interested in greek mythology. However it was a little difficult to communicate with Professor Sinos outside of lecture (she would often not be in her office during time dedicated to office hours even if you emailed in advance). Lecture material was all very interesting and expanded on the myths we read however sometimes it was a little chaotic. "
